Stress Urinary Incontinence

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is described as bladder leakage secondary to pressure being put on the bladder from things such as:

  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Lifting heavy objects
  • Exercising

SUI affects women more than men and can be incredibly distressing for those who suffer from it. SUI can negatively impact work and social life, especially exercise and leisurely activities.

Many people wrongly think that incontinence is a normal part of aging and cannot be treated. Bluewater Clinical Research Group is currently conducting a clinical research study for women who experience symptoms of stress incontinence on a daily basis.
