MIGRAINE

Migraine is a recurrent headache disorder, marked by moderate to severe pain and a variety of symptoms that vary by individual. Migraines may be triggered by a number of different factors, including, stress, menstrual periods, fatigue, strong odors, head trauma and foods containing particular chemicals, such as nitrites. Migraines may be treated with acute and preventive medicines. Acute medicines are for immediate pain and symptom relief, while preventive medicines are taken on a regular basis to prevent the occurrence of migraine headaches.

It is estimated that 2.7 million Canadians suffer from Migraines.  Although there are many treatment options for patients, often times we find that they are less than effective in achieving headache relief.
