We are a dedicated team of Physicians, Registered Nurses, Research Coordinators and Research Facilitators, providing leading edge clinical research to the Sarnia-Lambton area. We work with Family Doctors, Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and their patients, as well as interested public volunteers, to conduct high-integrity clinical research.
Dr. Michael O’Mahony has practiced family medicine for over 40 years and is one of the most highly acclaimed primary care researchers in the country. His dedicated staff and thousands of patient volunteers have been major contributors to Canadian research for more than 20 years. Dr. O’Mahony has been an active part of the Sarnia medical community, serving as Chief of General Practice at Sarnia Health Sciences from 1998-2005.
In 2010, Dr. O’Mahony established his own family practice and has been working fulltime in Sarnia since. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine, at the Western Schulich School of Medicine, London, Ontario and enjoys teaching medical students and residents from Western and other medical schools in Canada and abroad. He has admitting privileges at Bluewater Health and in addition to his office practice he also delivers babies; cares for his patients in hospital; works in the emergency department; performs minor operative procedures and joint injections in ambulatory care; and is the medical director of Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia.
Dr. John O’Mahony has been active in clinical research since starting his practice in 2010, working directly with Dr. Michael O’Mahony who has over 20 years of research experience. Many of our studies have contributed to the approval of new medicines for Canadians, and allowed our patients early access to the latest investigational options.
Dr. Peterson is a Family and Emergency Medicine Physician in Sarnia. Additionally, he has an Addiction Medicine practice in North Bay, ON and is an Investigating Coroner with the Province of Ontario. He earned a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 2010. He is also an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor. Dr. Peterson has been a Clinical Investigator on over 14 studies over the past year-and-a-half. Dr. Peterson has a strong aviation and space interest having completed an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, earning a Commercial Pilot's license, and participated in research projects with the Canadian Space Agency and NASA.
